Snow.

We were snowed in today.

It was nice.

Today Tina had a good day.

She is a prime example of a child that needs to be parented in a way that is tailored just to her. When I parent her like people who have kids with RAD parent their kids she does VERY well. I think that she falls into the category of "parenting children with past hurts", not necessarily RAD. It looks like RAD, but it is different.

I had to smile when some asked "So, you are only 27?" Yes, I am only 27. I have always been told I act older than my age. If I was to take a test on "how old I act" I am sure it would be in the ball park of 40. I am boring, for sure. And not into anything a normal 27 year old should be. Well, I like babies and that is about the only age appropriate thing I am into. I have an 8 year old so most of my friends are well into their 30's. Now that we are older it doesn't seem like such a big gap but I am usually around 6-10 years younger than anyone that is in the same circles I am.

It's just my life, I am used to it. :)

Glad little miss Tina had a good day today. We're snowed in too. Well, not really snowed in, but it's Texas so schools are going on three days of being canceled.

I hear ya on the age thing. I am very much 18, but am into very few of the things a "normal" 18 year old is into. I'm kinda just ready to settle down and start a family.

Does that make me weird? Don't answer that. ; )

I heard you got some snow :) people tell me they can't believe I'm 31 because I have a 14 year old. I seem older is what I usually get. Gee thanks, as long as I don't LOOK older lol!

Glad you had a good snow day. I am tired of snow days. Especially since we have no snow....although, I have to admit, I've lived here all my life and never recall single digits temps before today...

It's snowing in Texas! I'm 46 so I'm 15-20 years older than the other kid's parents. But then I act young. Why I was single until 40. I'm sure of it. Ask my husband. :)

I'm 33 and feel so much older then most of the moms with just one child around my girls age.

I can relate! I was 25, and still single, when I started being a foster parent. I was on average 10 years younger than the biological parents of the kids I cared for. (I'm sure that didn't help their egos any.) Two of my foster kids are now my 22-year-old son and my 16-year-old daughter. And, yes, my friends thought I was crazy.
