add.

You might be a foster mom...

...if you spent an hour in the ER on New Years Day getting a very weird diaper rash checked because you were worried it might be some type of STD because you have no idea what you kids have been put through prior to 2 weeks ago.

Thankfully, it was not herpes but she has a infection of some type going on.  Weird.

As strange as this sounds, you might try a fungus cream (like one used for jock itch). My current baby came with a diaper rash so bad that she was bleeding all over her diaper area. Two different doctors prescribed 2 different cremes that did NOTHING. Then, a friend recommended an anit-fungal cream and it literally got rid of the diaper rash within 24 hours (she had it for over 2 weeks prior to that).

Glad you were only there an hour!My pediatrician prescribes Nystatin (anti-fungal) for anything in the diaper area.

And if you don't wanna go the anti-fungal route, I swear by Butt Paste!!! That's some good stuff there :)
Sorry about the ER visit, btw!

Lotramin is what we used! I usually swear by Butt Paste, but it absolutely does NOT work if it is a fungus. I tried it for a week with no improvement.

Been thinking about your list a lot today....

I want to get my new placement a haircut. Gotta get permission first.

I actually locked our meds up this morning because I knew CPS was coming. (We haven't had any placements so it wasn't necessary to keep the lock box locked.)

I really wanted to say "no" to this placement this morning. But I just couldn't bring myself to do it.

I got the pleasure of going to the ER today too. You might be a foster mom if you have to answer every question a doctor answers with, "I don't know."

At least you have a definate answer about what it is. PureCorn Starch straight from the box works wonders.
