"The Lord is the everylasting God, the creator of the earth. He gives strength to the weary and increases the power of the weak. Even youth will become tired and weary, and young men will stumble and fall, but those who wait on the Lord will RENEW their strength; the will run and not be weary, they will walk and not become faint." Praying for you! You've been on my mind all day...
I have been thinking about S. off and on all day. What time is her hearing on Thursday? Will you attend? I don't know about your state, but in TX foster parents who have had a child over six months have "standing" with the court and the judge has to listen to anything they want to share. The judge doesn't have to do what the foster parent wants, obviously, but they do have to take into consideration what the foster parent has to say. I know it may seem like it won't make much difference at this point, but I would love for the judge to hear your concerns first hand since no one else has been able to intervene for S.Praying for you tonight!!!Rebecca
Leah,I agree with the previous poster. While I think it might be one of the hardest things you've ever had to do, I think you should go to the hearing & let your voice be heard. I would think that the judge would want to hear from you. I would say everything that has been weighing on your heart. The foster care system needs more parents like you who stand up for their kids. I'll be praying for you tomorrow. Keep us posted.Shelley P.
