Poor thing! So glad you are taking action to have him out of the house. Wow! That's a lot of explaining to a lot of people I'm sure.
well, the most explaining i am having to do is making sure everyone knows he is NOT coming back here...because once they are in a home they want to act like I am stuck with them.so far no one has hinted that they are going to try to make me take them back for the 2 week time period that they usually have you wait to have a child removed. Because it is because of him hurting another child I don't think they will be able to do that, but I am interested to see how they handle this to tell you the truth. They already called me this morning and said they are going to have to set up a meeting (they call it a PPC) that is the type of meeting they have when placing a child, removing a child, moving a child from foster home to foster home, ect. so we will see if they move quickly or not.
poor baby! and poor sister.(frequent reader, finally commenting)
OWWW!!! Poor thing! I would think with the reason for removal being physically assaulting another child in the home they shouldn't fight it. (but we all know how THAT goes) Hopefully they will be up front when they search for another home for him and let the foster parents know WHY he was moved this time. Praying they find a home WITHOUT other children.
i know, i am hoping so much that they tell the next person that he did this AND that they look for a home that doesn't have other small children in it.
oh wow! That kid had some chompers!! praying the best for him and your family
I was always under the impression that biting another human being was illegal (have to research that). If my bio children did this to someone, and were reported we would be in a heap of trouble. Should think that would be enough for an immediate/emergency removal. So sorry for you and Lizzy. Stay strong with making the agency deal with this quickly. You are a Rock Star! :)
Ouch! Poor Lizzy! Did he ever bite anyone else (his sister, your son, you or your husband) or was it just Lizzy? Making you take him back would be COMPLETELY unacceptable.
Poor Lizzy :-(
How do you think her bio mom will react when she finds out?? Hoping she doesn't turn around and make things difficult for you from that end!
Wow, that is a huge bite. I can't believe they weren't more worried and proactive. If it had been your bio child biting a foster I think it would have been more commotion.
