Never.

I never thought this would happen, but it has.

Lizzy mom just offered to sign over her rights to me.

You have got to be kidding.

(I told her to wait and see how court goes on the 9th for all of you who were going to ask me what I said. And no, we still haven't changed out minds. I keep asking myself HOW did this happen?!?!?)

Wow. Such baby mama drama. What on earth is she thinking? Do you think this is her form of manipulation on bio dad since they're now broken up? maybe she knows that you don't want to adopt Lizzy so it's "safe" to sign rights over to you, (Since you won't accept) meanwhile aggravating the dad?

Such a roller coaster! Yes, this is foster care. Nothing is ever for sure until it is done. Pray and see how God answers.

Has Bio Dad ever tried to gain any kind of legal standing with Lizzy? It seems like he is the only one out of the group who might actually be good for her! You would think with the way the system is so focused on keeping children with their biological families whenever possible, they would be more willing to work with the one person who stands a chance of being present and good for her. Foster care is so frustrating sometimes (well, MOST of the time. ;-)

Wow that's got to be so hard. And you must be so glad that you have made a firm decision in regards to adopting her.
