It's unfortunate that she couldn't have gone straight from the hospital to your home, or from Mom to you even, but it will be nice that you have a few days to prepare (physically and mentally) for the new addition. How are your husband and the other kiddos feeling?
The bureaucratic red tape that is foster care can be so frustrating at times. It's sad to me that she could not be immediately placed with you. But I am thankful she is safe now and you do have a bit of time to prepare. God bless you!
The kids I have now had to spend a long weekend in a shelter before coming to us, even though we'd already agreed to take them and were so excited to meet them. The waiting can be heartbreaking.
