Wait.

No new info today.

Got all paperwork to our adoption worker that she may need.

She hasn't heard anything so I am interested to know for sure what is really going on.

Thinking about calling the kid's adoption worker, but don't want to bug her...

I'ld ask your adoption worker to call the kids' adoption worker, saying you knew their situation due to a relationship w/ their placement. Convince your worker that you are okay starting the process even knowing the family isn't officially ruled out.
